What's in the Area?

As well as the first class facilities at Talacre Beach Caravan and Leisure Park, the beach is only a few minutes walk away and it is one of the best. Seals can often be seen from the five miles of unspoilt sandy beaches. Our beach is also home to an RSPB Bird Sanctuary where you can see many different types of waders and turns. The beach is also excellent for fishing and with miles of golden sand dunes and nature trails there's plenty for all to do and see.

Although the beach is within walking distance from the park, there's a whole lot more to discover, as North Wales has plenty of other attractions to enjoy. Nearby Rhyl is a seaside resort with fun for the whole family, including a Sea Life Centre, a Fun Fair and Sky Tower. Along with the quaint town of Prestatyn these two towns offer a range of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, cinemas, theatres and nightlife.

For the more active how about white water rafting, abseiling or just climbing the highest mountain in England and Wales. A visit to the Welsh Mountain Zoo is a popular day out with its magnificent bear enclosure and children's zoo. You could spend your day relaxing at any one of nine top class golf courses nearby, all within twenty minutes' drive, or even take advantage of the excellent river and deep sea fishing that North Wales offers.

Other famous attractions include the many well-preserved castles along the North Wales coast, such as Caernarfon, Conwy and Rhuddlan. Snowdonia National Park offers great opportunities for pony-trekking and a scenic mountain train ride, as well as tourist attractions like Electric Mountain and the Centre for Alternative Technology, a great day out for all ages. A visit to Llandudno will show its Victorian tramrides up to the Great Orme and its fabulous dry ski slope and toboggan run, and who could come to North Wales without seeing that famous railway sign for Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!

With all this in mind, Talacre Beach is the ideal place to have fun and relax for a weekend, holiday or much, much longer.
